FTFI Recommendations
The Forward Together Facilities Initiative made recommendations to the WPS Board of Education at the beginning of 2026, which were approved on February 24, 2026. While this decision means our doors as an elementary school will eventually close in 2028, we view these next two years as a "Season of Excellence." Our commitment to your children’s education, growth, and happiness has never been stronger.
What Comes Next
Mesa Elementary will remain open for the next two school years, at which time all students who have Mesa assigned as their home school will begin attending their new neighborhood school. Many families will attend Uplands Discovery Campus, while others may be assigned to nearby schools such as Sunset Ridge PK-6. Westminster Public Schools is currently assembling a boundary committee to determine school placement.
